Ruth is an advocate of the High Court of Uganda with over 8 years’ experience in the fields of legal, tax and international advisory. She has tax and legal experience in different countries i.e. Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania. She has handled cross border transactions, structuring, mergers and acquisitions and as well represented taxpayers before the Tax Appeals Tribunal (TAT).
Before KANE, Ruth was as an Associate with Katende, Ssempebwa & Co Advocates, one of the oldest and leading law firms in Uganda where she handled a range of commercial and tax advisory assignments including tax due diligences and international taxation services. She later joined t PKF Uganda, where she left as a Tax Manager responsible for handling taxpayer disputes with the revenue authorities and representing taxpayers in the Tax Appeals Tribunal.
